In January 2025, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton marked the two-decades milestone in their partnership by reintroducing their historic collaboration in their bold pop-up in New York’s Soho neighborhood. Louis Vuitton x Murakami Re-Edition pop-up is distinguishably set apart from the rest of their popups, and every collection from this series is inspired by motifs of their 2003 collection. In a reimagined collection, Tokyo’s modular capsule hotels serve as the inspiration for dividing the areas into distinct zones, thus linking them to a central corridor.
