“Carat” by Cartier is a day perfume for women, best fitting for the warm seasons. The perfumer that composed the fragrance said she wanted to create a perfume that dazzles just like a diamond – and she really did it. To achieve her goal, she recreated with the help of fragrances of seven different fresh flowers a phenomenon that is observed in diamonds – colours’ diffraction. The seven colours of the rainbow are captured vividly in this perfume with the help of fragrant violet, intense honeysuckle, narcissus, tulip, ylang-ylang, hyacinth, and lily. In the base notes, we find another floral scent – delicate mimosa. “Carat” is a perfume that sprinkles joy and good mood around just like a rainbow does on a rainy day.
