Lalique is the glass design house founded by French artist, jeweler, and ceramist Rene Lalique in 1885. His first jewelry pieces emphasized design, depicting animals and the female form. He turned to glassware, where he found his greatest success. He collaborated with Francois Coty to create perfume bottles for CotyÕs fragrances and designed a manufacturing process to produce bottles on a large scale. The first fragrances for the brand were not released until 1992, when the founderÕs granddaughter, Marie-Claude, worked with Art & Fragrance to create new perfumes in sculptural bottles.
