Diesel created a stunning fragrance entitled Loverdose – a game of words that can be interpreted like ‘Lover Dose’ or ‘Love Overdose’. The fragrance is announced as a ‘beautiful but deadly weapon of seduction’, made to ‘ignite passions like never before’. Diesel Loverdose possesses molecules that stimulate hypothalamus, the part of the brain responsible for attraction and lust. The noses behind the fragrance are Honorine Blanc and Olivier Cresp.
The composition itself is floral-spicy and opens with citrusy freshness of lemon and sparkling juicy mandarin. Jasmine, gardenia and licorice form the heart of the fragrance, while the base reveals oriental and woodsy accords of Ambrox, vanilla, cedar and sandalwood. The iconic bottle is shaped as a heart – diamond pierced by a dagger, colored in intense shades of amethyst.
