Le Participe Passe Perfume by Serge Lutens, Although, the scent was released in 2018, Le Participe Passe, which translates to Òthe past participle,Ó was created in order to evoke feelings of the past. The top notes of artemisia and bergamot are at once floral and a little sharp from the citrus addition. In the middle, more fruit is balanced with the spiciness of pepper. Finally, the base notes of Egyptian balsam and leather anchor the scent, while the additional notes of caramel and cumin evoke familiar smells of sweet treats and the warm comfort of a favorite meal. This is a heavy perfume with long longevity and sillage.
Serge Lutens has been making perfumes since 1982 when he first collaborated with Shiseido for a collection. Since then, he created his own brand and has released a number of award winning fragrances that are selectively distributed and marketed.
